Students Make Strides in Natural Hazards Communication Project
Our project, “Understanding Natural Hazards: From Peer Reviewed Publications to Digital Animated Videos in Social Media,” is making significant progress. With funding from the Knowledge Transfer Project Fund (KPF), a dedicated team of students has been transforming complex scientific research into engaging, animated videos.
These students are actively working on simplifying scientific terminology to make recent findings accessible to a broader audience. Their efforts focus on creating content that is not only educational but also visually appealing and easy to understand.
The project aims to establish a standardized process for animation creation and develop a platform for effective science communication. By enhancing public understanding of Earth and Environmental Sciences, the initiative seeks to promote interdisciplinary collaboration and lay a solid foundation for future communication efforts.
Attached are photos showcasing our students’ exciting progress. Stay tuned for more updates as we continue to advance this innovative approach to science education.
